this restaurant is my favorite restaurant! it's a MUST try! beware, you will find yourself going back and back again haha! the food is SO delicious! i felt like i was transported to italy for the day! the chef who created these recipes knows what they are doing because the food makes you want to dance haha! the customer service is always the BEST! they are very friendly and attentive! they have a beautiful outside area and a cozy inside area for dining! it was my husband's first time at alexander's on 30th and he gave the food and experience a 10/10!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. It's terrific. My wife and I came here on our first date eleven years ago, and it was excellent. Great food, wonderful ambiance, friendly service. We've been several times since and just went back last night to celebrate our anniversary. Not much has changed, but that's a good thing. It's still the same wonderful place we remember and it's always such a great experience.

Literally such a vibe ! The food is absolutely delicious, great portions, we had basically everything. The server had her recommendations on pizza so we did 1/2 cheese and 1/2 of what she said I honestly can't remember for the life of me what it was but it was spicy and just yum in every bite. If you were thinking about going here, stop thinking and just go! It's so worth it! I also made my reservation on OpenTable which was easy! Looking forward to coming again! Did I mention they have movie nights? I'd call prior to confirm if they're showing anything on the patio but since summer is around the corner, catch me being here all the time!

A nice little Italian restaurant on 30th street in North Park food and service is good

Alexander's has always been one of my favorite spots for a date night or girls night or any sort of celebration but I don't seem to go as often as I should. The outside patio is my favorite spot to sit in because it is so pretty with the fountain in the middle and hanging lights, it is also warm enough on a cold night because they have many heaters in the back. I have tried so many things here that I love and always want to try different things when I go. Everything is very shareable which I enjoy but I also end up ordering way too much. They do have beer and wine but no cocktails just as a heads up! The service has always been stellar and they always are coming to check in and make sure everything is good! I need to come here more often because it is always a great dinner!

Stopped by here again on short notice after a long work day. I figured I would give it another shot seeing that it's always busy and others really love the place...and I am so, so happy that I did! Jill was able to accommodate me and was extremely friendly. I had the pleasure of sitting indoors this time, right by the window. This place is the perfect, dim-lit setting for a romantic date night. If you're trying to impress and wine/dine someone, this is the spot to do so. Outdoors is just as charming as indoors, with string lights. Jesse, my server, was extremely friendly, warm, and attentive throughout the night with all the tables. Food wise, the garlic bread was one of the freshest and most delicious I've ever tasted. It came straight out of the oven to the table. I also went with Jill's recommendation for the chicken piccata - and it was EXCELLENT. Tangy, bright, fresh, and a very generous portion of veggies and angel hair pasta. Everything tastes homemade. They also have an extensive wine and beer list for those looking to drink. Thank you again to Jill! It was a wonderful meal. :)

Came in for dinner Valentine's weekend to all of the mood lighting in this intimate space. The host was welcoming and sat us in a tall booth to ourselves. We ordered a bottle of wine and the roasted pepper bruschetta to start and had the chicken piccata and pink pasta as our mains. Everything was delicious but tasted more homemade than restaurant style. And I'm not mad about it! Portions for the entrees were filling and left us enough for another dinner the next night. I'd come back for dinner on the patio on a slightly warmer night.

Recently, my husband and I dined at Alexanders on 30th to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the day we met. Alexanders was not our first date, but we enjoyed a meal there very early in our relationship, and have been there periodically on special occasions since that time. It is a beautifully decorated, and very well run restaurant. It has low, yet festive lighting. All of the staff are very professional, and it is a place to go if you want to feel catered to. The restaurant has grown through the years, and the tiny patio where we dined in 2009, is now a large dining area. We were given a choice of an outdoor table or a small table indoors. We chose outdoors, for more space, and because the patio was well-heated. Luckily, it was plenty warm. We skipped over the appetizers, as we had been to another restaurant for appetizers on our way over. We chose a bottle of Chianti Classico, in honor of a recent trip to Tuscany. I chose the chicken piccata, a favorite of mine. My husband chose the meat lasagna. The chicken was delicious. The meat was tender and the flavors were both delicate and zesty. I also enjoyed the pasta that it was served with, as the texture was perfect. My husband enjoyed the lasagna. We had let the staff know it was our anniversary and we got to choose a dessert of our liking on the house for our anniversary. We had to choose the tiramisu, another favorite. It was beautifully presented and had great flavor. All in all, this is the place to go for an intimate romantic dinner, great service, and delicious Italian food.
